About MerchantLion

We’re Merchant Center experts on a mission to end guesswork.

When Google Merchant Center rejects a store, merchants usually get a one-line reason and a long wait. MerchantLion turns that into a clear, evidence-backed picture of what on your website could be causing it — and exactly what to fix first.

Why we built MerchantLion

Misrepresentation, “website needs improvement”, price and availability mismatches — the same handful of issues block many good stores. The fixes are often simple, but finding them means comparing policies, product pages, structured data, feeds and checkout line by line.

We built a scanner that does that comparison systematically, links every observation to the official requirement it relates to, and explains it in plain language. Agencies use it to triage clients quickly; merchants use it to fix their own store before requesting a review.

What we are — and what we are not

We are an independent team of e-commerce and Merchant Center specialists. We are not Google, we cannot see your Merchant Center account, and we cannot influence Google’s decisions. What we can do is make sure your website gives reviewers no reason to doubt it.

Our principles

How we work

Evidence over opinions

Every finding shows what we observed — excerpts, screenshots, exact values and timestamps — so you can verify it yourself.

Official sources only

Rules are linked to Google’s published Merchant Center documentation with the date we last verified them. Best practices are labelled as such.

Honest about limits

We tell you what we could not inspect and when a cause is unverified. We never present a score as Google’s decision.

Safe by design

Our scanner is polite, identifies itself, respects robots.txt, never places orders and never asks for your passwords.

Process

From rejection to resolution

  1. 1

    Scan

We read your public pages the way a reviewer would: policies, product pages, cart and checkout entry.

  2. 2

    Compare

Product data, structured data, visible prices, policies and checkout are cross-checked for contradictions.

  3. 3

    Diagnose

We relate what we found to the issue Google reported and rank fixes by the strength of the evidence.

  4. 4

    Verify

After you fix, the next scan re-tests each item, so you know what is resolved before you request a review.
