Requesting a review too early is one of the most common mistakes. A good request is backed by real changes on your website and a short, factual description of them.

Before you click “Request review”

  1. Fix every issue you can find — not just the first one.
  2. Make sure the changes are live and visible to a new visitor (clear caches, check on mobile).
  3. Make sure Merchant Center settings match your website.
  4. Re-scan your site to confirm the issues are gone.

What to write

Keep it short and factual: what you changed and where. For example: “We added our legal business name and support email to every page footer, rewrote our return policy to include a 30-day return window and refund timing, and removed an unverified ‘official retailer’ badge.” Never claim changes you have not made.

Check your store in minutes

Run a scan to see which of these issues affect your website — with the exact page, evidence and a fix for your platform.

After you submit

Reviews can take several days. If the review is unsuccessful, don’t immediately resubmit the same site — look for remaining issues first, because repeated unsuccessful requests can lead to a waiting period.

Plan of Action drafts

MerchantLion’s Deep diagnosis drafts a Plan of Action from your actual findings, with placeholders for facts only you can confirm. You review it, make the fixes, and only then send it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I appeal more than once?

Yes, but unsuccessful repeat requests may trigger a waiting period, so make each request count.
